Tonight – Could the internet make you rich?

 

Could the internet be your route to making a fortune? Jonathan Maitland meets the entrepreneurs who are using new technology to forge new careers and create new opportunities.

 

This is a very informative video made by somebody who has been bitten, and quite badly too, in the past by the promise of making his fortune on the internet. The problem, as spelt out by Jonathan, is that he invested a lot of his money in the stock market and specifically on the dot.com boom which we know all to well went bang!

 

Jonathan surprisingly takes a very unbiased and sometimes positive, approach to this blossoming industry and does what I would call some very constructive reporting on the subject. Let’s not for one minute dispel the fact that there are unscrupulous people out there that will happily sell you nothing for your hard earned cash with the promise that you will become a multi millionaire whilst you sleep, but let’s do look at the positives that are out there. As with any industry the more positive feedback and attention it gets the more it will blossom, and so will the criminals. That’s why it is everybody’s responsibility to do there due diligence before buying, selling or trading online and this is one aspect which Jonathan overlooked.

 

The content of the video covers a varied range of online business but due to the length of the episode they obviously cannot cover every one that is out there. You may also see a sudden boom in You Tube videos and self styled stylists popping up all over the place as we all grab for that elusive portion of digital wealth that we so long to savour. There’s an insert of the Lauren Luke makeup phenomenon that is taking the world by storm and I say “you go girl” for her ingenuity and there is also the usual eBay type store that’s trading in toddler footwear but interestingly enough they also covered businesses that were not previously cyber based that have moved from the high street store style of business to become solely internet based and making much more money that they were previously.

 

The Internet Marketing sector of online businesses wasn’t mentioned once during this report and I can only think that this is due to the complexity and vastness of this one subject.

 

The video is currently still available on the ITV Player website here but I think it will only be up for 30 days from initial transmission so if you haven’t seen it and 30 days has passed since it was first broadcast then do a search on the likes of YouTube and I’m sure you will come across a copy of it.

 

To finish off I would like to say that Jonathan Maitland closed his report in a very positive way by prompting some of the interviewees whether they thought they were going to make it big in their online businesses. I think that any form of positive input or prompting that will help instil a positive mentality for anybody running and growing a business is a good thing.

New online IM training offered for beginners

I have just recently been told of a brand new online training resource available to all but mainly geared up for the beginner or those new to Internet Marketing. It is called Online Success For Beginners

Marion Herbertson was one of the first people to sign up with MyInternetBusiness.com  (MIB) when it was launched in early 2008 and has been through many of the pains that most of us beginners have gone through. After establishing her MIB business Marion soon founded the TheJeremiah2911Team.net MIB support and training group that now has a large following and is possibly one, if not the biggest and most successful MIB support, training and marketing groups around. When MIB was re-launched as YourNetBiz.com (YNB) in May 2009 Marion was one of the forerunners with assisting the existing MIB members with the transition to YNB. This was mostly done through the Jeremiah2911 group as many orphaned members joined through lack of support from their mentors. As founder of the Jeremiah2911 team Marion is always on the training and more often than not she presents the training or is the one hosting the guest speaker.

I know very little about Tranque Fuller as I have only recently met him on the Jeremiah2911 training sessions but what I have learnt is that he is a straight talking, motivated and caring mentor that has seen the worst and the best that Internet Marketing has to offer. His background is very strong in customer service so you know he’s going to have the right focus and your best interest at heart. He is also a very strong member of the Jeremiah2911 team and quite often presents training himself.

Gary Meadows is my mentor and YNB sponsor and I cannot sing his praise enough. He has helped me so much in getting my YourNetBiz.com setup even to the extent that when he was busy on one call his wife Jane was able to step in and offer advice and support. Gary has also been through the proverbial mill of Internet Marketing systems and schemes and has also found solace in the YNB business opportunity. His hard work and dedication to his associates has meant that he has a very good understanding and grounding in the YNB and Jeremiah2911 teams and very often presents training to the team.

As you can see from the above character reviews all three of the remarkable people have been very busy in the YourNetBiz business opportunity from a very early stage and understand it very well and with the dedication they have shown all of their associates and team members you can only be rest assured that the new training facility they are offering is going to be of the highest quality. #IMRemarkable getting back in the driver seat.

Hi again,

I last posted about IMRemarkeable back at the end of June and due to work commitments, yes I have a full time (9-5) job that keeps me away from home for 12 hours a day, I have not been able to focus much of my time one this. On Monday however Howie posted up the IMRemarkable Traffic system but there’s a chance it may be taken down soon.

Any how with that traffic system and a training guide I have kicked back into action and am progressing along nicely. I have maintained a blog on blogger.com for my first chosen niche of dog walking promoting a dog training product by Dove Cresswell and I have gotten 2 Web2.0 sites up. Still a lot of work to do and hopefully I’ll get more chances to do some.

I have so much to do and so little time to do it in I really need a leg up to get myself independent of work and focused on IM.

Getting to grips with marketing!

It’s now been 6 days since I actually joined the YourNetBiz.com and I have already generated 2 opt-in leads from Google Adwords.

I’m very much a crawl-walk-run person but sometimes get all three going together at the same time. With YNB I have been able to do this as I have some technical knowledge but I am still learning a lot in other areas.

I’m busy expanding my reach by delving into other areas of marketing and below is where I’ve gotten to:

As soon as I had signed up to YNB I immediately jumped onto my Google Adwords account and created an advert to direct some traffic to one of the 3 domains I created. www.makemegamoola.com The ad read “Make Money Online” and I used the forwarding with Masking option to ensure that google would allow it as it actually forwards to my YNB Landing page. I played around with a few permatations of the advert but none of them resulted in an opt-in lead.

I change the ad to one of the ones provided by MIB and used another domain name I registered www.your-mega-bucks.com. This forwards to exactly the same landing page and has resulted in 2 opt-in leads within 3 days. The keywords stayed exactly the same, the impressions grew at the same rate as the previous ad but the 2 opt-ins resulted. Now this could have been purely due to the fact that it was changed in time for my opt-ins to see it but in the short amount of time since I changed the ad I saw a change in results. Longer term experimentation will be the decider but I feel good about what I have done.

I have recently joined Twitter and trying to grow my following. Reading an very good ebook Underground Twitter Secret Manifesto has opened my eyes to the possibilities this social networking site has and I hope to exploit them to the fullest. There is a lot of good content in this ebook and well worth the read if you’re an online marketing person no matter what your level of competence.

I will be looking at exploiting the Facebook social networking site as this site has one of the largest foloowing in the internet and it was recently published that 1 in 8 minutes spent on the internet is spent surfing Facebook. As I get the MIB part of Facebook setup so I’ll update this blog with the links to that page. Coma back here in the future to see where I go with this.

The above is some examples of me running with things as I’m wanting to generate as much traffic to my capture pages as possible and hopefully convert a good percentage of these into actual sales but the area where I’m still learning to crawl is in the running of this machine that MIB is and all of the back office components that make it such a good product.

The group that I have decided to associate with, The Jerimiah 2911 as they offer a very good mentoring and support team and with 4 nights a week training that you won’t get anywhere else it’s the only choice for somebody starting out in this business.

I’ll definitely be reviewing this posting but please also look out for new posts as I will be keeping this site up to date.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life!
